I was born in Timisora, but was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by my adoptive parents since the early 1990's. Neither of my parents are Romanian, I was always raised as an American. The laws of Romania state I'm still a citizen, even though I'm a naturalized US citizen. Would it be worth my time to attempt to renounce my Romanian citizenship, considering I have no ties to Romania otherwise? I appreciate everyone's input in advance.

Re: Citizenship Question
Sun, November 8, 2009 - 12:29 PMWhy would you want to renounce it? I would think that having a citizenship in a EU country is entirely desirable. What's the downside?
